Mount Wolseley Seeks Examiner

The owners of Mount Wolseley resort in Tullow, Co. Carlow have asked the High Court to appoint an Examiner who will seek to save the business.

Bank of Ireland which wants to appoint a Receiver is opposing the application.

The High Court will give its decision later.

Yesterday the Morrissey family asked Judge Keane to appoint Ian Lawlor as Examiner to the business which includes a 143 bedroom hotel and golf course.,

Banks re owed around €60m with €20m owed to Bank of Ireland

Abrakebabra Losses Rise

Losses continue to rise at Abrakebabra Group which incurred heavy impairment costs in 2011 due to falling property values.

Abrakebabra Ltd has reported a loss of €282,714 in 2012 bringing accumulated losses to €8.8m while another group company Bagel Master made a loss of €696,559 bring its accumulated losses to €8.3m. Sushi Master, another group company reduced its losses during the year by €190,995 to €2.57m.

The group operates 183 outlets.
