Tina Maree MIHI, National Executive Officer

Tina has extensive experience in the areas of Business Development and Project Management. She was worked with international companies Adecco, Hewlett Packard, Xerox Europe and CWS – boco.

Tina has extensive experience within the hospitality Industry and is no stranger to the Institute having previously worked as Operations Manager at IHI from 1992 to 1996 under the Presidency of Joseph V. Hughes, John D. Carroll and Paula Daly.


Sarah Strachan MIHI, Membership & Events Executive

Sarah has been working in the Hospitality Industry since graduating with a National Diploma in Reception, Tourism and Business Studies in 2005 and in turn commenced employment with the Jurys Doyle Hotel Group at Jurys Inn Christchurch as Front of House Receptionist. In 2007 Sarah joined The Doyle Collection’s Luxurious 5-star flagship hotel, The Westbury, as Reservations Coordinator. In 2011,

Sarah decided to sample the Tourism Industry outside of Ireland and travelled to Australia where she swapped the Office hours and became Operational, working as a Restaurant Manager in the Sunraysia Wine region. A year later Sarah found herself taking on the role of Restaurant Manager in an Italian restaurant along the beautiful Yarra River in Melbourne City. After 2 years in Australia, Sarah returned to Dublin to the Role of Corporate Reservations Coordinator at the vibrant Marker Hotel. Sarah’s most recent role was back in The Westbury hotel as Sales & Marketing Executive.

It was in October 2016 that Sarah was delighted to take on the role of Membership & Events Executive at the Irish Hospitality Institute. Sarah’s role as Membership and Events Executive entails the Sales & Marketing of the Institute and Memberships along with the organizing of its monthly Events, seminars and the IHI Hospitality Management Awards.
